As a pediatric dentist, I have the privilege of creating a safe and fun dental home for children. Meeting a child’s needs in the dental environment is what I do best. The most gratifying aspect of my work involves converting a once-terrified child into a compliant, willing participant in his or her dental care. Children are extremely impressionable, and I take this opportunity to instill good oral habits that will last a lifetime while building a strong patient/doctor relationship.
Education and Continuing Education
I attended Binghamton University, and earned my Bachelor of Science in biology in 1993. I graduated from Harvard University’s School of Dental Medicine, magna cum laude, in 1998 and received my certificate of pediatric specialty from Boston Children’s Hospital in 2000.
I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Vermont State Dental Society, American Dental Association, Vermont Society of Pediatric Dentists, and Champlain Valley Dental Society. These organizations enable me to maintain my skills at the highest level possible and deliver superior care to my patients.
Outside the Office
I am originally from Holbrook, NY and currently live in Burlington with my wife Cynthia, daughter Gwendolyn, son Blake, and dog Stanley. My family and I love the outdoors and enjoy playing golf, boating, and alpine skiing.
I also actively support many children’s programs in the local community, both financially and through education. It is my philosophy to give back to the community through volunteer wellness programs and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to encourage healthy habits and happy smiles.
