As a teenager I needed corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, I became fascinated in the transformative ability of dentistry. I was able to chew better, smile straighter, and had less pain. I knew I had found my career direction! I began dental assisting at the age of 16, went to dental hygiene school, and then completed my Dental Degree at Tufts in Boston in 1994.
After a hospital-based residency, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including my own private practice. My philosophy of treating patients as if they are a close family member defines my vision of care and compassion.
Dentistry for me has extended into a lifestyle. I have had the privilege to be a Board member for Delta Dental, a local hospital, and the University of New England. Being inducted into the International College of Dentists in Hawaii has been a highlight of my career, and I am now excited to now be an active member of the Vermont Dental Society.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
I recently moved to Shelburne VT, just down the road from my son who works at Shelburne Farms. My daughter is currently serving in the Peace Corps in Kenya. I am a passionate hiker, swimmer and scuba diver, and have just recently taken up golfing. In less active moments I enjoy reading, cooking and cuddling with my labradoodle Tucker.
