As a periodontist, my main function is to help restore the health of gum tissues around teeth. After 20 years, I still find it very rewarding to see how our patients’ dental health keeps improving, and hearing from them how much better their mouth feels, or when I hear they have finally recovered their ability to chew properly again.
I am truly passionate about periodontics. It is my privilege to be part of such a team of professional assistants, hygienists, and dentists who truly work well together to help so many people keep or replace the teeth they need to maintain their ability to function normally.
I have been a dentist since 1987, and I have specialized in periodontics and implant dentistry since 1995. You could say that dentistry runs in the family: My mother was a dental assistant, and told me and my brother that she could see us as dentists, and that is what we became!
I graduated from the Laval University School of Dentistry in Quebec in 1987. During my service in the Canadian Armed Forces, I worked closely with different dental specialists, and the field that attracted me the most was periodontics. When my service was complete, I received my certificate in periodontics and fixed prosthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1994.
Professional Memberships
- American Academy of Periodontology
- American Dental Association

- Vermont State Dental Society
When it comes to continuing my education, I regularly attend the national annual meeting of the American Academy of Periodontology. This is where I acquire new skills and techniques and obtain the most up-to-date scientific research. I also attend dental lectures organized by the Yankee Dental Congress and Vermont Dental Society.
Following new trends is important and incorporating new technologies into our practice is a crucial but very careful process that we undertake on a regular basis. I am dedicated to predictability and safety first above all else.
Outside the Office
I am originally from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada, and came to Vermont to work at Timberlane Dental. I currently live in South Burlington with my son Gavin.
When I’m not in the office, you may find me occasionally on a driving range or a golf course. I enjoy cycling and hiking. My son and I love to go watch live hockey games and play street hockey. Whenever I get the chance, I enjoy going snowshoeing in the winter, skating, and windsurfing in the summer.
